Executive Subcommittees

Unless identified otherwise, these committees were voted during the 2007 Constituency session, and are to function June, 2007 - June, 2011.

Building Committee
Supervises and manages all building projects within the Southwest Region Conference.


Concerned Care Practitioners Pool
A group voted December 14, 2008, comprised of qualified appointees from which Sexual Ethics Committees can be selected as needed.


Constitution & Bylaws Committee
Receives recommendations / requests for updates to the Constitution & Bylaws for the North American Division.


Divorce & Remarriage Committee
Handles issues related to divorce and remarriage as it relates defined policy.


Education K-12 School Board
Provides general overview and counsel on the K-12 system of education within the North American Division, with special emphasis on curriculum development.


Finance Committee
Reviews financial reports / statements, receives / manages financial requests for recommendation to the executive committee.


Financial Audit Review Committee
Receives / reviews annual audit results and instigates the required actions to ensure a clean opinion.


Grievance & Appeals Committee
A committee voted April, 2008, by the Executive Committee to develop a grievance policy and manage employee grievance issues for the conference.


Investment Committee
A committee voted December 14, 2008, responsible for developing sound and consistent investment objectives, policies and guidelines.


Lay Advisory Committee
Designed to assist the local church in maximizing its potential for reaching the community with the Gospel.


Lone Star Camp Board
Manages the operations of the Lone Star camp ground.


Lone Star Executive Committee
Need description.


Ordination Committee
Receives requests for ordination of pastors for recommendation to the executive committee.


Personnel Committee
Handles issues relative to employees (new hires, promotions, etc.) for recommendation to the executive committee.


Strategic Planning Committee
A committee voted by the Executive Committee in December, 2007 to handle the development of a strategic plan for the conference.
